Ooo eck, looks like I’ve been a bit quiet for a while. Had a busy few months. I went to Andorra for a week and captured some stuff for time lapsing - though the Customs on the border made me delete frames taken inside the border station! Ah that was when I was leaving the country, they didn’t catch me entering so got those frames woo ha ha.

Started processing some of my cruise from May 2008 (GUC - Stratford-u-Avon - river Avon), so that will follow ….

I really should have posted this before I went!

I do try and get a non boating holiday each year - just to see the other side. This time I went to the Spain, specifically Madrid. That’s right Madrid in August when many locals leave the city to escape the heat! Fourteen days of potentially 40C. We went from Mon 13th, flying from East Midlands with Ryan Airways - a cheap flight and a chance to sample their fast landings (they come in fast applying brakes at the last minute so as to keep the time on the ground to a minimum). Mind you, after spending two weeks in Madrid I think they should just simply employ Spanish drivers, as crossing the road does seem a risky process. You see cars speed up to you braking at the last moment (I guess they just hope you’ll get out of the way - all 50 or so using the crossing) by the time it comes for them to think about braking.

The temperature was quite cool (25C in the evenings), and I managed to boat on a lake. Time now to plan my next boating holiday - in September.

This site went down a few months ago when the service provider went belly up. I’ve now got a new one, so taking the time to use blogging software rather than a portal.

I’m next out on the boat in May, so hopefully set up properly by then.
