High Quality YouTube

I have been posting my videos on both blip.tv and youtube, mainly because I was appalled at the low quality of Youtube. Recently, as they’re now part of Google, they’re supporting HQ uploads. It seems a bit of hit and miss, and essentially it will mark those it deems as HD with the “view in HQ”. Hit and miss as it seems that you both need a 640 wide video and 3000k+ bitrate, and it may be dependent on format.  I’ve done some samples and found DivX7 seems to accepted best (its a matter of not making the files too big (more because it takes an age to upload) but keeping it high enough to get recognised for HQ mode).

Still I’ll aim to try for that.
